Printed by the American Bank Note Co., N.Y., the face displays a detailed engraving of Liberty wearing a crown, the bold "UNITED STATES TEN CENTS" legend in black and red ink, and the notation "Receivable for All United States Stamps." Two signatures appear at the bottom — Register and Treasurer.
