At JP Ford Coin & Currency, we understand that coins, currency, bullion, precious metals, and collectibles can be both valuable and difficult to replace. We take care in packaging and shipping every order and use tracking, insurance, signature confirmation, and other safeguards when appropriate.

Shipping Destinations

We currently ship online orders to addresses within the United States.

Certain products, order values, destinations, or payment methods may be subject to additional shipping restrictions or verification requirements.

Carriers & Shipping Methods

Orders are generally shipped using USPS or UPS with tracking.

JP Ford Coin & Currency reserves the right to select or change the carrier and shipping service used for an order when we believe another method provides better security, insurance coverage, delivery reliability, or handling for the contents of the shipment.

The shipping option selected during checkout may therefore represent a service level rather than a guarantee that a particular carrier will be used.

Order Processing & Tracking

Orders are verified and carefully packaged before shipment.

Once an order has been prepared for shipping, tracking information will be provided when available.

Estimated transit and delivery times provided by JP Ford Coin & Currency, our website, or a shipping carrier are estimates and are not guaranteed. Weather, holidays, carrier delays, service disruptions, and other circumstances outside our control may affect delivery times.

Insurance & Signature Requirements

JP Ford Coin & Currency may insure a shipment and/or require a signature upon delivery based on the value, contents, destination, payment method, or other security considerations.

High-value shipments may require an adult signature or other form of delivery verification.

These requirements may be added at our discretion even when they were not specifically requested by the customer.

Shipping Addresses & Order Verification

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address when placing an order.

For fraud prevention and shipment security, we may be unable to change the shipping address after an order has been placed.

If you notice an error in your shipping information, please contact us as soon as possible. We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed once an order has entered processing or has been shipped.

JP Ford Coin & Currency reserves the right to hold, verify, or cancel an order when we are unable to verify shipping or payment information or when additional verification is necessary to safely complete the transaction.

Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments

If tracking indicates a problem with your shipment, your package appears to have been lost, or your order arrives damaged, please contact JP Ford Coin & Currency promptly.

If a package arrives damaged, please retain the package, shipping materials, labels, and contents. Photographs and other documentation may be required to assist with a carrier or insurance claim.

When appropriate, we will work with the customer, shipping carrier, and/or insurance provider to investigate qualifying lost or damaged shipments.

Carrier investigations and insurance claims may require additional time to complete and are subject to the applicable carrier's or insurance provider's procedures and requirements.

Bullion & High-Value Orders

Bullion, precious metals, and other high-value orders may be subject to additional processing, payment verification, insurance, signature, or shipping requirements.

Because precious-metal markets can change rapidly, cancellation, return, and refund rules applicable to bullion and market-priced products may differ from those applicable to ordinary numismatic merchandise.

Local Pickup

Local pickup may be available for eligible online orders at our Longs, South Carolina retail location.

"Sell to Us" Shipments

Shipping coins, currency, bullion, jewelry, precious metals, or other valuables to JP Ford Coin & Currency for evaluation or purchase is a separate process from purchasing merchandise from our website.

Please do not mail valuables to us without first contacting us and receiving appropriate shipping and packaging instructions.

Customer-Arranged Shipping

Unless otherwise agreed, customers participating in our Sell to Us program are responsible for arranging and paying for shipment of their items to JP Ford Coin & Currency.

Customers are responsible for selecting the carrier, purchasing appropriate postage and insurance, accurately declaring the shipment when required, securely packaging the contents, and complying with the carrier's terms and requirements.

Before shipment, we may require photographs of the items and/or completed packaging. We may also provide specific packing recommendations or requirements based on the type, quantity, weight, and estimated value of the items being shipped.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and purchasing insurance appropriate for the value of the contents. Signature confirmation or other delivery verification may also be recommended.

JP Ford Coin & Currency is not responsible for loss or damage occurring while a customer-arranged shipment is in transit to us.

Any claim involving a customer-arranged shipment generally must be initiated by the person who purchased the shipping label or insurance coverage and will be subject to the applicable carrier's or insurance provider's terms, exclusions, documentation requirements, and claims procedures.

JP Ford Coin & Currency-Provided Shipping Labels

In some circumstances, JP Ford Coin & Currency may provide a prepaid shipping label or make other shipping arrangements for a customer.

When we provide a shipping label, the customer must follow the packing, documentation, carrier, and shipping instructions we provide.

Any insurance or declared-value coverage associated with a provided shipping label is subject to the terms, limitations, exclusions, and claim requirements of the applicable carrier or insurance provider.

Providing a shipping label does not eliminate the customer's responsibility to accurately describe the contents when requested, package the items securely, provide requested documentation, and follow our shipping instructions.

Packaging & Documentation

Proper packaging is especially important when shipping coins, bullion, currency, jewelry, or other valuable items.

Depending on the shipment, JP Ford Coin & Currency may provide specific instructions regarding packaging, internal protection, box selection, weight limits, labeling, photographs, insurance, tracking, or signature requirements.

Failure to follow required shipping or packaging instructions may affect our ability to assist with a loss or damage claim.

For security reasons, we may also recommend that customers avoid placing words or descriptions on the exterior of a package that unnecessarily identify the contents as coins, currency, bullion, precious metals, or other valuables.

When Your Sell to Us Package Arrives

Once your package has been shipped, please provide us with the tracking information so that we can monitor its expected arrival and prepare to receive it.

Receipt of a package by JP Ford Coin & Currency does not constitute acceptance of an offer to purchase its contents.

Items will be received, inspected, identified, tested, authenticated, counted, weighed, or otherwise evaluated as appropriate before a purchase is finalized.

Any purchase remains subject to the applicable terms of our Sell to Us program and the final agreement between the customer and JP Ford Coin & Currency.

Before You Ship

Do not ship coins, currency, bullion, jewelry, precious metals, or other valuables to JP Ford Coin & Currency until you have received the appropriate shipping instructions.
