Terms of Service

JP Ford Coin & Currency

These Terms of Service govern your use of the JP Ford Coin & Currency website and transactions with JP Ford Coin & Currency LLC. By accessing our website, placing an order, submitting items through our Sell to Us program, or otherwise conducting a transaction with us, you agree to these Terms of Service and any applicable policies referenced below.

Please read these terms before completing a transaction.

1. About JP Ford Coin & Currency

2. Website Use

You may use our website for lawful personal or commercial purposes related to browsing, purchasing, selling, or learning about the products and services we provide.

You agree not to use our website to engage in fraudulent activity, interfere with the operation or security of the website, attempt unauthorized access to systems or accounts, submit false information, or otherwise use the website in violation of applicable law.

We reserve the right to refuse service, restrict website access, cancel transactions, or take other reasonable action when we believe fraud, abuse, unauthorized activity, or a violation of these Terms has occurred.

3. Product Listings

We make reasonable efforts to accurately describe the merchandise offered for sale.

Because much of our numismatic inventory consists of unique or individually identified items, photographs may form an important part of a product listing.

Dates, mintmarks, denominations, certification information, grades, varieties, condition descriptions, precious-metal content, photographs, and other information are provided to help customers evaluate merchandise before purchasing.

Despite our efforts, typographical, photographic, inventory, pricing, or descriptive errors may occasionally occur.

4. Unique & One-of-a-Kind Merchandise

Many coins, currency notes, tokens, medals, and collectibles offered by JP Ford Coin & Currency are unique inventory items.

When a listing contains photographs of a specific individually identified item, our intention is to provide the item represented by that listing.

Because inventory may also be offered through our retail store or other sales channels, an item may occasionally become unavailable before our systems are updated.

If merchandise you purchased is unavailable, we will contact you and issue an appropriate refund if we cannot fulfill the order.

5. Pricing Errors

We make reasonable efforts to maintain accurate prices, but mistakes can occur.

JP Ford Coin & Currency reserves the right to correct obvious typographical, technical, data-feed, calculation, or pricing errors.

If an item has been listed or sold at a clearly erroneous price, we may cancel the affected transaction before shipment and refund any payment received.

This provision is intended to address genuine errors and is not intended to permit cancellation simply because the market value of an item changes after a valid transaction has been completed.

6. Bullion & Market Pricing

Prices for bullion, precious metals, and certain other products may be based directly or indirectly on rapidly changing market prices.

Prices may therefore change without notice.

Once a bullion or other market-priced transaction has been completed and the applicable price has been locked, subsequent market movements do not change the agreed transaction price.

Customers assume the risk of subsequent increases or decreases in market value after a market-priced transaction has been completed.

Bullion and other market-priced transactions may be subject to additional payment, cancellation, shipping, and return restrictions.

7. Payment

Orders must be paid using a payment method accepted by JP Ford Coin & Currency.

Available payment methods may vary depending upon the transaction amount, merchandise, sales channel, or other considerations.

We may require additional verification before accepting or shipping an order, particularly for high-value transactions.

An order confirmation does not necessarily constitute final acceptance of an order when payment verification, inventory verification, fraud review, or other reasonable transaction verification remains necessary.

8. Fraud Prevention & Transaction Verification

Because coins, bullion, precious metals, and other merchandise we sell can have substantial value, we reserve the right to take reasonable steps to verify transactions.

We may request additional identification, payment verification, address verification, or other information when reasonably necessary to protect our customers and business from fraud.

We may delay, decline, or cancel a transaction when we are unable to satisfactorily verify the transaction or reasonably believe unauthorized or fraudulent activity may be involved.

Any payment collected for an order canceled by us will be refunded as appropriate.

9. Numismatic Grading

Coin and currency grading can be subjective.

When JP Ford Coin & Currency provides a grade or condition opinion for an uncertified item, that grade represents our opinion based upon our examination of the item.

Another dealer, collector, buyer, or third-party grading service may reach a different conclusion.

A difference of grading opinion does not, by itself, establish that an item was materially misrepresented.

Eligible numismatic merchandise is nevertheless subject to our 7-Day Numismatic Return Privilege as described in our Refund & Return Policy.

10. Third-Party Grading Services

Certain merchandise may have been authenticated or graded by independent third-party grading services.

Grades and authentication opinions assigned by those services are the opinions and determinations of the applicable grading company.

JP Ford Coin & Currency does not control the grading standards, guarantees, policies, or future determinations of independent grading companies.

A disagreement with a grade assigned by an independent grading service does not by itself constitute a misrepresentation by JP Ford Coin & Currency.

11. Authenticity

We make reasonable efforts to accurately identify and represent the merchandise we sell.

When JP Ford Coin & Currency represents an item as genuine, we stand behind that representation subject to the terms of our Refund & Return Policy and any applicable third-party certification or authentication.

Questions about authenticity, certification, condition, or attribution are welcome before purchase.

12. Returns & Refunds

Eligible numismatic and collectible merchandise is covered by our 7-Day Numismatic Return Privilege, subject to the conditions described in our Refund & Return Policy.

Bullion, precious metals, and other market-priced merchandise are generally final sale except in circumstances such as fulfillment error, qualifying shipping damage, or material misrepresentation.

Customers should review our complete Refund & Return Policy before purchasing.

The Refund & Return Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service.

13. Shipping

Orders are shipped according to our Shipping Policy.

JP Ford Coin & Currency may select appropriate carriers, insurance, signature requirements, or other security measures depending upon the contents and value of a shipment.

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information.

Our Shipping Policy is incorporated into these Terms of Service.

14. Sell to Us Transactions

JP Ford Coin & Currency also purchases coins, currency, bullion, precious metals, jewelry, and other qualifying property from customers.

An estimate, preliminary valuation, photograph-based opinion, conversation, or indication of interest does not constitute a binding agreement to purchase an item unless we specifically agree otherwise.

Final offers may depend upon physical inspection, authentication, testing, weight, purity, quantity, condition, market conditions, and other characteristics of the property.

Customers are responsible for accurately representing that they have the legal right and authority to sell property submitted to us.

We reserve the right to decline to purchase any item.

15. Shipping Property to Us

Customers should not ship coins, currency, bullion, jewelry, precious metals, or other valuables to JP Ford Coin & Currency without first receiving appropriate instructions.

Unless otherwise agreed, customers are responsible for arranging and paying for inbound shipping, appropriate insurance, packaging, and compliance with carrier requirements.

JP Ford Coin & Currency may occasionally provide a shipping label or make other shipping arrangements.

Complete requirements for inbound shipments are contained in our Shipping Policy.

16. Ownership of Items Offered to Us

By offering or submitting property to JP Ford Coin & Currency for sale, you represent that:

  • You own the property or have legal authority to sell it.

  • The property is not stolen or unlawfully obtained.

  • The transaction does not violate the rights of another person.

  • Information you provide regarding ownership or the property is truthful to the best of your knowledge.

We may decline, delay, or terminate a transaction when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, law-enforcement requirements, identification requirements, precious-metals regulations, anti-money-laundering obligations, or other legal requirements.

17. Taxes

Applicable sales taxes will be collected when required by law.

Tax treatment may vary based upon the merchandise, transaction amount, shipping destination, applicable exemptions, and governing state or local law.

Customers claiming an exemption may be required to provide appropriate documentation.

18. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, JP Ford Coin & Currency will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of our website or a transaction with us.

Nothing in these Terms is intended to exclude or limit rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

19. Market & Investment Risk

Coins, bullion, precious metals, currency, and collectibles can increase or decrease in value.

Past performance, rarity, historical price movements, market commentary, or information provided by JP Ford Coin & Currency does not guarantee future value.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, information provided by JP Ford Coin & Currency is for informational and educational purposes and should not be considered financial, investment, tax, or legal advice.

Customers are responsible for making their own purchasing and investment decisions.

20. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise indicated, the JP Ford Coin & Currency name, branding, website content, original photographs, graphics, written material, and other original content are owned by or licensed to JP Ford Coin & Currency and may not be reproduced or commercially used without permission except as permitted by law.

21. Third-Party Services

Our website may use or link to services operated by third parties, including payment processors, shipping carriers, grading companies, ecommerce providers, and other service providers.

Those services may be governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

JP Ford Coin & Currency is not responsible for the independent operation of third-party services outside our control.

22. Privacy

Information submitted through our website or during a transaction is handled according to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Our Privacy Policy should be reviewed together with these Terms of Service.

23. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time as our business, website, services, or legal requirements change.

The version posted on our website at the time of a transaction will generally govern that transaction unless otherwise required by law.

24. Governing Law

These Terms of Service and transactions with JP Ford Coin & Currency are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where applicable federal law or another mandatory law provides otherwise.

25. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is determined to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect to the extent permitted by law.
