This 1835 Capped Bust Quarter is a classic example of early American silver coinage. The Capped Bust design, introduced by John Reich and refined over the series, features Liberty wearing a cloth cap on the obverse, surrounded by stars, with an eagle on the reverse — a design widely admired for its fine detail and historic character. The quarter dates to a period when U.S. coinage was hand-struck at the Philadelphia Mint, giving each piece a distinct individuality. A solid addition to any collection focused on early U.S. type coins or Bust-era silver.
