1840 Braided Hair Cent Large Date F-15 1066.15-A

The 1840 Braided Hair Large Cent with the Large Date variety is a classic example of early American copper coinage. Graded Fine-15, this piece shows moderate, even wear across the high points with clear lettering and detail remaining in the design. The Braided Hair design, introduced in 1839, features Liberty with a coronet and braided hair on the obverse, and a wreath surrounding the denomination on the reverse.
