1853 Braided Hair Cent AU-53 666.53-A

The 1853 Braided Hair Half Cent is a mid-nineteenth century United States copper coin, graded AU-53. The obverse features a left-facing Liberty portrait with braided hair and a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY," surrounded by thirteen stars, with the date 1853 at the bottom. The reverse displays "HALF CENT" in bold lettering encircled by a wreath, with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" along the border. The coin presents with well-defined devices and pleasing surfaces consistent with its AU-53 grade.
