The Twenty Cent piece was a short-lived denomination struck by the United States Mint, produced for only four years in the 1870s. This example is an 1875-S, grading Very Fine, showing moderate circulation wear with the major design elements remaining clear and well-defined. The obverse features a left-facing Liberty seated figure, while the reverse displays a perched eagle — a classic mid-19th century American coinage design. A scarce type coin from an era of numismatic experimentation, the Twenty Cent piece remains a popular addition to type sets and collections of Seated Liberty coinage.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
