This medal commemorates the Sesquicentennial Celebration of Lexington, Kentucky, marking the span from 1775 to 1925. The obverse features a standing frontiersman figure with a rifle, inscribed "Sesquicentennial Celebration – June 4 – Lexington Kentucky" with the dates 1775 and 1925. The reverse depicts two scenes: the Lafayette Centennial Visit to Lexington, KY (1825–1925) and Ft. Boonesborough – Transylvania Colony (1775–1925), with an aerial view of the fort.
