The 1803 Draped Bust Cent is an early American copper coin struck during the formative years of the United States Mint. This example is the Large Date, Large Fraction variety and grades AG-3 Details. At this grade, the coin shows heavy circulation wear consistent with its age, with the major design elements still visible. The Draped Bust obverse features Liberty facing right, while the reverse displays the classic wreath and fraction denomination. Early American large cents of this era are a cornerstone of U.S. numismatics and are increasingly difficult to find in any collectible condition.
