The Classic Head cent was struck by the United States Mint from 1808 through 1814, featuring a portrait of Liberty wearing a headband inscribed LIBERTY — a design distinctly different from earlier and later large cent types. This example is a raw (ungraded) specimen from that series, housed in a standard two-by-two flip. The obverse shows the Classic Head portrait, and the reverse carries the wreath and ONE CENT denomination typical of the type. A coin spanning more than two centuries of American history, the Classic Head cent represents an early era of U.S. coinage and is a foundational type for collectors of early American copper.

Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
