The 1816 Coronet Head cent marks an important milestone in American coinage — it was the first large cent struck after the Philadelphia Mint's production hiatus during the War of 1812. This example grades Fine-12, showing moderate, even wear across the high points with the major design elements and lettering remaining clear and well-defined. The Coronet Head design, featuring Liberty facing left wearing a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY," is a classic and widely collected early American type. A solid, honest example of this historically significant one-cent piece.

Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
