This 1824 Coronet Head Large Cent is an early American copper coin struck during the classic era of U.S. coinage. The Coronet Head design, also known as the Matron Head, features Liberty facing left wearing a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY," with the reverse displaying a wreath surrounding the denomination. This example is attributed to die variety DG-6 (Newcomb variety N-2, die state 922.D6), making it of particular interest to early American copper specialists and variety collectors.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
