The 1828 Coronet Head Large Cent with the Narrow Date variety is a classic early American copper coin, graded Good-4. At this grade, the main design elements are visible with even, honest wear throughout — a solid, problem-free example of this early 19th-century large cent type. The Coronet Head design, used on the cent from 1816 through 1839, features Liberty facing left wearing a coronet inscribed LIBERTY, surrounded by stars on the obverse, with a wreath and ONE CENT on the reverse.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
