This 1837 Coronet Head Large Cent in the Small Letters variety grades Fine-12, showing moderate even wear with major design details still clear. A classic early American copper coin from the final years of the large cent series' Coronet type, the Small Letters reverse is a recognized variety among collectors of 19th-century U.S. coinage. At Fine-12, the high points show wear but the lettering and devices remain well-defined and fully readable.

Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
