1839 Coronet Head Cent Booby Head 1054.8-A

This 1839 Coronet Head Large Cent features the Booby Head variety, a recognized die variety within the Coronet Head cent series. The obverse displays the classic left-facing Liberty portrait wearing a coronet inscribed "LIBERTY," surrounded by 13 stars, with the date 1839 at the bottom. The reverse shows "ONE CENT" within a laurel wreath encircled by "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA." Graded VG-8, this piece shows clear design elements throughout. A solid circulated example of an early American copper cent from the pre-Civil War era.
