This 1839 "Head of 1838" Coronet Head Large Cent is graded VF-20. The "Head of 1838" variety is a recognized die variety of the 1839 cent, distinguished by its use of the previous year's obverse hub design. In VF-20 condition, the coin shows moderate wear with the major design details remaining clear and well-defined. This is a solid, collectible example of an early 19th-century American copper cent.

Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
