1841 Braided Hair Large Cent F-15 1078.15

This 1841 Braided Hair Large Cent grades Fine-15. The Braided Hair type, designed by Christian Gobrecht, was struck from 1839 through 1857 and represents the final chapter of the large cent series. At Fine-15, the coin shows moderate, even wear across the high points with the major design elements remaining clear and well-defined. The date and lettering are sharp, and LIBERTY is fully visible in the headband. A solid, honest example of this classic early American copper type.
