1852 Braided hair cent VF-35 1162.35

This 1852 Braided Hair Large Cent grades Very Fine 35. The Braided Hair design, engraved by Christian Gobrecht, was the final large cent type produced by the United States Mint and ran from 1839 through 1857. At VF-35, the coin shows moderate, even wear across the high points, with Liberty's hair cords and braids still clearly defined and the lettering and devices remaining sharp and readable. A solid mid-grade circulated example of this classic American copper type.
