The 1856 2-Cent Piece "Fancy 5" Variety 213356.20-A is a notable die variety from the short-lived 2-cent denomination. The "Fancy 5" designation refers to a distinctive style of the digit 5 in the date, setting this variety apart from more common die marriages of the same year. It is a collector-sought piece for students of early American small cents and 2-cent coinage varieties.
