The 1856 Braided Hair Cent with the Upright "5" variety is a mid-19th century large cent struck in the final years of the series. Graded Fine-15, this example shows moderate, even wear across the high points with clear lettering and devices still well-defined. It represents a collectible piece of early American copper coinage from a series that ended just one year later in 1857.
