The 1864 Copper-Nickel Indian Head Cent is a key transitional issue from the early years of the Indian Head series. Struck in the original copper-nickel alloy composition before the Mint switched to bronze later that same year, this example grades AU-55 — showing only light wear on the highest points with most original detail remaining sharp and well-defined.
