1874 Shield Nickel 2879.D25-A

This 1874 Shield Nickel is a classic example of a 19th-century American five-cent piece. The obverse displays the distinctive heraldic shield design surrounded by foliate scrollwork, with the motto "IN GOD WE TRUST" arcing across the top. The date 1874 appears at the bottom of the coin.
