1909 Wheat Cent 1721.40-A

This 1909 Lincoln Wheat Cent is an early example from the first year of the Lincoln cent series. The obverse features the right-facing portrait of Abraham Lincoln with "LIBERTY" to the left, the date 1909 below, and "IN GOD WE TRUST" along the top. Graded XF-40, the coin displays good detail retention across the major design elements. The reverse carries the classic wheat-stalk design that gives this series its nickname. A solid circulated example for the type or date collector.
