The 1916 Buffalo Nickel is a classic example of early 20th-century American coinage, featuring one of the most celebrated designs in U.S. numismatic history. The obverse displays a bold Native American portrait in profile, with the date visible below, while the reverse presents a bison standing on a mound above the denomination "FIVE CENTS." This example grades Fine-15, showing the coin's major design elements clearly defined. The obverse and reverse legends — "LIBERTY," "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "FIVE CENTS" — are all present and legible. The coin displays natural, even toning consistent with its age.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
