This 1917-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar displays the iconic Adolph Weinman obverse design featuring Liberty draped in the American flag, striding toward the sunrise, with the date 1917 clearly visible at the bottom. The reverse shows a bald eagle perched on a mountain crag with wings spread, inscribed "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "HALF DOLLAR." Notably, this example carries the Reverse mintmark placement — the "S" mintmark appears on the reverse below the eagle — a distinctive variety found only on certain 1917-S half dollars. The coin grades Very Fine (VF) and is housed in a 2x2 flip.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
