The 1917 Standing Liberty Quarter Type 1 features the iconic obverse design of Liberty standing in a gateway, holding an olive branch and shield, with "LIBERTY" arched above. The reverse displays a flying eagle with "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA" and "QUARTER DOLLAR." Graded AG-3, this first-year Type 1 issue is a solid representative of one of American coinage's most celebrated designs.
