1917 Standing Liberty Quarter Type 2 5537.45-A

The 1917 Type 2 Standing Liberty Quarter features the iconic obverse design of Liberty standing in a gateway, holding an olive branch in her right hand and a shield in her left, with the inscriptions "LIBERTY" and "IN GOD WE TRUST." The reverse displays a soaring eagle in flight surrounded by stars and the inscription "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA / QUARTER DOLLAR." This example grades XF-45, reflecting solid detail retention throughout the design.
