This 1923 $1 Silver Certificate is a large-size United States note bearing the Speelman–White signature combination. The face features a central portrait of George Washington in an oval vignette, with "ONE SILVER DOLLAR PAYABLE TO THE BEARER ON DEMAND" printed along the bottom. The header reads "SILVER CERTIFICATE" and the note is inscribed "SERIES OF 1923" and "WASHINGTON, D.C." Serial number E59510188B is printed in blue twice on the face. The reverse is printed in green and features ornate large-size note engraving centering on "THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA ONE DOLLAR." The Friedberg catalog reference for this note is Fr. 237, as indicated in the title.
