This 1928-S Standing Liberty Quarter is graded VF-20, representing a solidly circulated example of one of the most celebrated designs in American coinage. The Standing Liberty Quarter, designed by Hermon Atkins MacNeil, features Liberty standing in a gateway with a shield on one arm and an olive branch in the other hand, with an eagle in flight on the reverse. The San Francisco mintmark places this piece among the West Coast issues of the series. A VF-20 grade reflects clear design detail across the major devices, making this a presentable and collectible mid-grade example of this classic early 20th-century silver quarter.
Coin Grading is Subjective, and should be treated as an opinion of grade. We use ANA Grading Standards as our Reference.
