This 1929 Series $10 Type 1 National Bank Note was issued by The Commercial National Bank of High Point, North Carolina, under Charter 4568. National Bank Notes of this era were printed by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing and issued through federally chartered banks across the country, making each note a direct reflection of its issuing community.

The obverse features a central portrait of Alexander Hamilton, flanked by the issuing bank's full name and location — "The Commercial National Bank of High Point, North Carolina" — along with the charter number 4568 printed in black on both sides. The serial number F004205A appears in red, and the note bears the signatures of the bank's cashier and president, as well as the Register of the Treasury and Treasurer of the United States. The Series of 1929 designation is visible on the face.

The reverse is printed in green and depicts a detailed engraving of the U.S. Treasury Building in Washington, D.C., a design standard to this series.
