1929 $20 Federal Reserve Bank Note Fr. 1870-C – Philadelphia District Currency HT47

This 1929 Series $20 Federal Reserve Bank Note was issued by the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The face features an engraved portrait of Andrew Jackson at center, with "NATIONAL CURRENCY" across the top and "TWENTY DOLLARS" along the bottom. The serial number C00758991A is printed in orange-red, and an orange-red Treasury seal appears to the right of center. Signatures of the Register of the Treasury (E.E. Jones) and Treasurer of the United States (W.O. Woods) appear at the top, with the Cashier and Governor of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia signing at the bottom. The reverse is printed in green and features a detailed engraving of the White House, labeled "WHITE HOUSE," flanked by ornamental torch designs and large numeral 20s in each corner.
