This is a 1934B $5 Silver Certificate Star Replacement Note issued by the United States, featuring a blue seal. The obverse displays Abraham Lincoln's portrait at center, flanked by large numeral "5" corner pieces and a blue ornate seal to the right. The heading reads "Silver Certificate" and the note states it is payable in silver to the bearer on demand. The series designation "Series of 1934 B" and "Washington, D.C." are clearly printed, and the star serial number ★11412088A appears on both the lower left and upper right. The reverse features the Lincoln Memorial in green intaglio printing. The Friedberg catalog reference Fr. 1652* identifies this as a star (replacement) note from the 1934B series. Star replacement notes were issued in place of notes removed from production due to printing errors, making them a distinct collecting category within this series.
