1938-D Walking Liberty Half G-6 6739.6-A

The 1938-D Walking Liberty Half Dollar is a classic example of this long-running American series, struck at the Denver Mint. The obverse features the familiar design of Liberty in full stride, draped in the American flag, with the sun rising behind her. The reverse displays a bald eagle perched on a mountain crag with wings spread, above the inscription "HALF DOLLAR." This example is graded G-6, a raw (unholdered) coin.
