1942 Walking Liberty Half AU-55

The Walking Liberty Half Dollar is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful coins ever struck by the United States Mint. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, the obverse features Lady Liberty draped in the American flag striding toward the sunrise, while the reverse displays a majestic eagle perched on a mountain crag. This 1942 example grades AU-55, showing light wear on the high points with much of the original mint luster still visible in the fields and devices.
