1959 Franklin Half Dollar Proof 68 NGC 6891.68-01670068006313912018

This 1959 Franklin Half Dollar was struck as a Proof issue and has been certified by NGC in Proof 68 — a top-tier grade for this series. The obverse features John Hermon MacNeil's portrait of Benjamin Franklin, while the reverse displays the Liberty Bell with a small eagle to the right, as required by law at the time of issue. Proof coinage of this era was produced with specially prepared dies and polished planchets, resulting in the deeply mirrored fields and sharp, frosted devices characteristic of the series. At PR 68, this example represents an exceptional specimen of the 1959 Proof Franklin Half Dollar and makes a strong addition to any Franklin Half or U.S. Proof set collection.
