The obverse features a stylized Aztec athlete in motion against an Olympic rings motif, with the legend "JUEGOS DE LA XIX OLIMPIADA MEXICO 1968." The reverse displays the Mexican national eagle with the inscription "ESTADOS UNIDOS MEXICANOS" and the fineness notation "LEY 0.720" clearly visible on the coin.
