2009 S American Samoas Quater Silver Proof 70 DCAMANACS Certified 71263.A70

The 2009-S American Samoa America the Beautiful Quarter is struck in silver and carries a Proof 70 Deep Cameo (DCAM) designation, certified by ANACS. The obverse features the familiar portrait of George Washington, while the reverse depicts a Samoan chieftain presenting a fly whisk to an American naval officer — a design honoring the territory of American Samoa. As a Silver Proof issue, the coin is struck with polished dies on specially prepared planchets, producing the frosted devices and mirror-like fields characteristic of the Deep Cameo finish. Proof 70 indicates a flawless example with no post-production imperfections visible under standard magnification.
